The future of AI has arrived.

OpenAI just released GPT-4o.

It's turning ChatGPT into a digital personal assistant.

Basically, an AI that can see, talk and remember.

What does this mean for communications?

It means we're getting closer to AI agents that can:

- comment on what they see through any device

- understand more complex prompts shared orally

- have more natural conversations and brainstorms

- remember tasks and preferences to improve outputs

And all of this in real-time.

Sort of like in the movie "Her" with Joaquin Phoenix.

You might be thinking that we're going too far too fast.

I agree.

The rate at which AI is evolving can be overwhelming.

But there are ways to get ready for the changes ahead.

It's important to stay curious and learn more about AI.

That's why Andras Baneth and I are preparing AI workshops to teach public affairs and communications professionals how to stay ahead with AI.
