How can AI tools help the humanitarian sector?
Last week, I ran an AI workshop for a network of 60 humanitarian orgs.
A real eye-opening experience.
It gave me a sense of what’s happening in the sector and how AI tools can be valuable, especially given the recent budget cuts affecting humanitarian work worldwide.
Participants struggled with:
- lack of practical AI use cases for inspiration
- concerns about authenticity when creating content
- poor-quality AI results, making the tools less reliable
So I designed a workshop to show how AI can:
✅ help develop summaries and analyses
✅ improve the quality of strategic documents
✅ personalise content for different audiences
So yes, AI tools can help the humanitarian sector make the most of its resources.
This was a real example of how AI can support small teams who struggle to create an impact in their space.
Excited to help more teams this year!
Talk to you later 👋
