It can be tough to figure out how your team can use AI effectively.
But I found an easy framework to think about this issue.
McKinsey recently revealed how companies can leverage AI at different stages.
They created three buckets: takers, shapers, and makers.
🪣 Takers use existing AI tools
🪣 Shapers build automated workflows
🪣 Makers create their own custom AI models
So if you want to inspire your organisation to use AI, first ask yourself:
- in which category is my organisation?
- how could we automate some of our most repetitive activities?
- could we gain from building our own AI models to support our employees or stakeholders?
Knowing where you stand and how you could scale up your efforts can already give you a sense of what is possible for your team when it comes to AI.
Feel free to check out this carousel where I share how the European Commission, Amnesty International and the World Health Organization could use AI.
Does this seem realistic? Let me know in the comments.
Oh, and before I go, Andras Baneth and I will be organising hands-on AI workshops to help public affairs and comms teams on their AI journey. DM me for more information.
Talk to you later 👋
